Clean Break

Students studying on Clean Break's year-long, A-level equivalent Access to Theatre course

Clean Break was founded in 1979 by two women prisoners. It uses theatre and arts to educate women who have offended or are at risk of offending. It runs programmes both inside and outside prisons. Activities include theatre performances, new writing projects and drama-based education. The Pilgrim Trust’s grant was given for Clean Break’s ‘Acting for Life’ programme aimed at women offenders.
